We are representing a leading, industrial, full service engineering firm that is searching for an Electrical Field Engineer in the Greater Pittsburgh, PA area.
Requirements:
- 4-year BS degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or Mechanical Engineering.
- 2 to 20 years' experience in the industrial, mechanical field work.
- Experience and knowledge of heavy industrial mechanical systems such as mechanical drives, power transmission, bearings, equipment alignment, bolted connections, welding, wire ropes, sheaves, gearing, etc.
- The field engineer’s core responsibility is to provide on-site technical supervision of the installation or repair of equipment and provide support for mechanical inspections, shop inspections, spare parts, and aftermarket.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical and structural detail drawings.
- Familiar with the use of technical measuring equipment and an understanding of manufacturing tolerances.
- Travel up to 60% for onsite job installations, inspections, field measuring, etc.
- Use of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
